Bhubaneswar: Scorching hot days are expected to last at least for a week more with temperatures touching or crossing 40 degrees Celsius at most places in Odisha, said the Regional Meteorological Centre director Sarat Chandra Sahu on Saturday.

“The weather model indicates the situation will remain the same for the next one week. Wind will mostly flow from the western side with some variations. The percentage of humidity would be less as no wind is expected to flow from the sea side. There is no forecast of any rainfall nor thundersquall (kalabaisakhi) either,” Sahu said.
