MBA student held for uploading obscene pics of girl

Bhadrak: Nayakanidihi Police on Wednesday arrested an MBA student of a private college from a boys' hostel here for allegedly harassing a girl and uploading her ‘obscene’ pictures on social media.

The arrested has been identified as Dhananjay Mohanty from Sribaschapur village in Bhadrak.

The matter came to light after Mohanty uploaded some personal pictures of a girl on social media following which the girl lodged a complaint with the police.

A four-member-team of police began investigation into the incident and after a search, Mohanty was arrested from a boys' hostel in Janla.

The accused was booked under various Sections of IPC, the Information Technology Act and sent to jail custody, sources said.
