Malkangiri: Maoist posters of CPI (Maoist) were found in Kudumuluguma village in Malkangiri district today.
Through the letter, the CPI (M) Malkangiri Divisional Committee has threatened the tribals not to apply for candidature and cast vote in the ensuing Panchayat polls. The body warned the tribals that if anybody contests for Sarpanch, Panchayat Samiti member, Ward member and Zilla Parishad member, they would be sentenced to death in People’s Court. Besides, people who would go to cast vote, their thumb would be cut off, the letter stated.
In the letter, the Maoist body also mentioned to stop all developmental works underway in blocks and Panchayats and warned contractors to do the same.
