Man shot dead by younger brother

Sambalpur: Panic gripped Kutisingha village under Naktideula police station limits after a man was shot dead by his younger brother this morning.

Reports said altercation ensued between Birabara Munda and his younger brother Dhira Munda after a calf of the former ate paddy from a paddy stack of the latter. Enraged, Dhira opened fire at Birabara killing him on the spot.

Following information, police rushed to the village and seized a country-made gun from the spot. Police later sent the body for post mortem.

Efforts are on to nab the absconding accused, police said.
