Man dies in road accident in Angul

Angul: A person died in a road accident at Phuljhari under the Chhendipada police station in Angul district today.

The deceased was identified as Gurubari Nayak Phuljhari village. He died after being hit by a Tata Ace.

Angry over the situation, locals staged a road blockade demanding compensation for the family members of the diseased. Resulting this, vehicular movements on the Bagadia-Angul road was disrupted for over four hours.

Being informed, Chhendipada police and local Tehsildar rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the protesters. They later called off the road blockade after the administration assured them to provide compensation to the family members of the deceased.
