Bargarh: In a tragic incident, an elderly man and his daughter were electrocuted at Lastara village under Atabira police limits in Bargarh district in the wee hours today.
The deceased have been identified as Harishankar Nayak and Prabhati Patra.
According to sources Harishankar came got an electrical shock when he touched a wall of his house that was charged with an earth wire. When his daughter went to rescue him, she was also electrocuted.
Both were rushed to hospital in critical condition, but doctors declared them brought dead. Meanwhile, an unnatural death case has been registered at the Atabira police station.
