Man kills wife, commits suicide in Sundergarh

Rourkela: A man committed suicide after murdering his wife at his house in Andhari village in Sundergarh district late last night.

Sources said the man, identified as Sakash Kandolina hacked his wife, Priya, with a sharp weapon and later hanged himself.

Some neighbours initially got suspicious as door of the house was locked from inside for a long duration this morning.

On being informed, Biramitrapur police reached the spot and spotted the body of Priya lying on bed with throat slit and found Sakash hanging from the house ceiling.

Sources said preliminary investigation revealed that the incident was a fallout of family quarrel.

The couple is survived by two sons who are residing outside the state.
