Man beaten to death over petty quarrel

Mayurbhanj: A man was allegedly beaten to death by two persons in a quarrel over a petty issue in Debradihi village under Tiring police limits of Mayurbhanj district today, police sources said.

The deceased has been identified as Karan Sundhi. According to reports, both the accused are brothers.

Sources said the incident occurred during a meeting which was held by locals for a puja. However, a heated argument ensued between two groups during the meeting. The conflict escalated and the accused brothers thrashed Sundhi to death.

On getting information police have detained the two accused, informed sources.
