Man beaten to death over land dispute in Sundargarh

Rourkela: In a tragic incident, a person was killed in an attack by some unidentified miscreants allegedly over a land dispute at Kokerama village under Hatibari police station in Sundargarh district on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Amin Koidi (50).

According to reports, when Amin was returning home after filing a complaint at the police station regarding a land dispute, 8 to 10 persons attacked him with sharp weapons and fled away. Sustaining serious injuries Amin died on the spot.

Meanwhile, police registered a case and have started investigation into the incident.

The attackers are still absconding and no arrests have been made so far, police stated.
