Man arrested for uploading obscene photos of girl on Facebook

Cuttack: Mangalabag police on Sunday arrested a man for allegedly uploading obscene photos on social media and outraging modesty of a girl, a student of Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering (BOSE) in Cuttack.

Earlier on June 1, the girl had lodged a complaint against the accused Bijay Kumar Moharana working as Zonal Business Manager of Alniche Life Sciences Pvt Ltd. As per the complaint Moharana had clicked some intimate photos of the girl when they were in a love relationship during her academic education at BOSE and had uploaded them on a fake Facebook profile.

When the girl protested about it, Moharana outraged her modesty by dragging her hand in front of her college on May 23 and threatened her of dire consequences.

Meanwhile, Moharana has been booked under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Information Technology (IT) Act. Police has seized two mobile phones from his possession and he will be forwarded to court today.
