Bhubaneswar: A meeting was held today at the State Secretariat to discuss the preparations for the Make in Odisha Conclave 2018. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary while the Finance and Industries department Secretaries were present among others.
According to sources, discussions were held on the event plan, arrangements for the same and the companies that will be partnering the event.
However, it is still not clear whether Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will participate in the conclave or not.
Industries department secretary, Sanjeev Chopra said that the state government will take a decision on that.
“Whether it is CII or anybody else, they are only facilitators. It is not that in case there is no industry partner we cannot organise the event. We will organise the event and will do a very good event this time. We hope that industries will be equal partners in the event. No negotiations are underway right now. State government will take a decision,” said Chopra.
