Cuttack: Arrested Industrialist and MD of Odisha Stevedores Limited (OSL), Mahima Mishra’s 3-day police remand in connection with the bomb hurling case in Press Chhak in Cuttak ended today, following which he was produced before the SDJM court.
According to sources, during the 3-day remand, Mahima was questioned on the reasons behind the bomb hurling and other persons who are involved in the case.

It is learnt that 3 years back, bomb was hurled at one Abhay Bhatt in a murder attempt over some land dispute. On January 4, 2017 an accused in the bomb hurling case, Ganesh Sahu was arrested by police and according to his statement, Mahima had ordered the bombing.
Police suspects that Mahima ordered the bombing after getting furious after Abhay Bhatt purchased a land worth Rs 72 lakh which the former could not lay his hands on.
On the other hand, hearing on Mahima's bail plea in connection with Seaways general manager Mahendra Swain murder case, has been postponed by the Jagatsinghpur district and sessions court.
