Mahatma Gandhi’s granddaughter Tara meets CM

Bhubaneswar: Mahatma Gandhi’s granddaughter Tara Gandhi met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today to promote Gandhism among the youth of the State.

“I was very happy to meet Chief Minister. He is liked by his people and also doing a lot for the state. For him the people of Odisha are very important. On the 150^th anniversary of Mahatma and Kasturba Gandhi Odisha should show the way of ‘Sarvodaya Chintan’ to the rest of the country,” Tara said.

She further said, “There are lot of ways to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of the Mahatma and Kasturba Gandhi and ideally it should celebrated by ensuring eduaction & development of youth and children.”

Tara also demanded that usage of Khadi among youth and children should be promoted and the Khadi Board should be made more active and vibrant.
