Bhubaneswar: The low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is likely to turn into depression during the next 24 hours resulting in heavy rain in the State. Besides, Cautionary Signal-III has been hoisted at three ports in the State and fishermen advised not to venture into the sea.

"The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level and the system is likely to intensify into a depression during the next 24 hours," IMD Director Sarat Sahu said.
