Koraput: It’s a script straight out of some Bollywood flicks narrating the story of separation and reunion. The story of nine-year-old boy lost 17 years ago reunites with his family.
Emotions ran high in Kumuli village of Borigumma after 26-year-old Tankadhar Pradhani reunited with his family on Sunday.
Having lost her son years ago, Tankadhar’s mother Yamuna Pradhani's happiness knew no bounds when she saw her son back home.
“I lost all my four kids and now I am very happy that my son has come back. When he went missing there was nobody to search him and so we could not find him,” said Yamuna.
“I went out in search of some work with one of my friends and reached Nabarangpur,” says Tankadhar, adding that unable to trace his way back home, he could not return and later he moved to Andhra Pradesh through Rayagada where he eventually settled.
Four years ago, Tankadhar tried to return to his village, he could not find the exact location and had to return to Andhra Pradesh again.
However, luck favoured Tankadhar this time when after a lot of efforts he finally managed to come across Amir Raj Mishra, a youth from his own village.
“I was waiting at the bus stop in Borigumma when I met him. He asked about my father’s name and when I enquired he said his name was Tanka. The name immediately caught my attention but for some moments I was bewildered and then when I guessed his other name, Manda and asked him about it, he said yes,” Amir Raj Mishra said.
