Leopard found dead in Bolangir

Bolangir: A leopard was found dead in Gandhamardan Hills in Patnagarh of Bolangir district today.

On getting information, forest officials rushed to the spot and brought the carcass of the leopard to Harishankar range office.

Later, a post-mortem was conducted in presence of the Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF), Forest Ranger and veterinary surgeons from Lathor & Khaprakhol.

After the post mortem, the leopard was cremated.

However, the cause behind the death is yet to be revealed.

Earlier in March this year, a leopard from Gandhamardan Hills strayed into human settlement at Baghajharan village in the district.
