Khapuria ITI students stage protest against biometric system failure

Cuttack: Tension prevailed at Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) of Khapuria today after students locked the main gate of the institution. The students staged a protest against biometric system failure at the institution alleging it to be the reason for shortage of attendance.

The ITI students alleged that due to the glitch in the system at times, the count of attendance varies for which they face difficulties at the time of exams and they are even debarred from attending exams sometimes.

“Though we regularly come to college but due to malfunctioning of the biometric system we are short in attendance. For system failure we are facing problem in attending examinations,” an ITI student alleged.

Students have demanded immediate solution of the problem.

However, no response is received yet from the college administration.
