Kalinga Mahotsav celebrated in Mumbai

Mumbai: Remembering the Odia culture, Odias residing in and around Mumbai celebrated Kalinga Mahotsav yesterday. The Mahotsav was organized by Chembur based Anushakti Nagar Odia Samiti.

Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda graced the occasion as chief guest. Moreover, the additional Secretary to the Odisha Government Sarat Mohapatra was also present at the Mahotsav as a guest.

Speaking on the occasion Baijayant Panda said “A lot of states and regions have abundant natural resources, however only those States make progress which value human resources, human spirit and talent.”

Odia’s residing in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and nearby places took part in the Mahotsav to remember the Odia tradition and culture. Moreover, people in large numbers from the atomic division participated in the program.

A memorabilia was unveiled on the occasion. Artists of the Nupur Anusthan also presented a dance performance during the program.
