A five member team of the commission led by Justice Das himself looked into the condition of the Rosasala.
Justice Das said Rosasala is in good condition. However, improvement in sanitation, drainage, existing toilet and installation of chimney is needed. Besides, the door of Rosasala needs renovation, Das added.
"The panel observed several issues that need to be dealt with like sanitation, hygiene, cleanliness, ventilation, safety and security and water availability," said Puri Collector Arvind Agrawal.
Meanwhile, the committee has directed to finish the repair work within seven days.
The visiting team also looked into the condition of Ganga Yamuna well, the number of the hearths, and the floor of the kitchen. It assessed all the aspects of the cooking condition, ventilation in the kitchen, sanitation methods and suggested reform measures while duly taking stock of the present drainage and sewerage facilities therein. Besides, special provisions meant for the welfare of the working servitors and assistants in the temple kitchen and other visiting devotees were also looked into.
Earlier, the temple administrator (Ritual) Maheswar Panigrahy had said with the three deities away on their nine-day long annual sojourn to Mausi Maa temple, the kitchen which was all vacant and free of any duties would be thoroughly inspected by the commission and accordingly reform measures would be suggested later through a report.
