Jual writes to Naveen seeking early electrification of 347 villages

Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Jual Oram today wrote to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik seeking his intervention for speedy electrification of 347 un-electrified villages in the State.

Oram requested the Chief Minister to issue required instructions to concerned departments to ensure electrification of the un-electrified villages.

"A total of 2,986 villages in the country are yet to be electrified," the Union Minster mentioned in the letter.

In 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced in his Independence Day speech that 18,452 un-electrified villages in the country will get power supply in 1,000 days.
