Bhubaneswar: Over 2500 students from Odisha are slated to appear in the the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced on May 21. Given the statistics of the past years, only seven to eight percent students, who appear the JEE Mains form Odisha, qualify for the Advanced examination every year which has now emerged as a major concern for educationists.

A little over 2,500 students out of 52,560 students have qualified for the JEE advanced examination this year, official sources said.  A mere 7.88 per cent of the students who sat for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main had qualified for the advanced examination in 2016.
