Bhubaneswar: BJP leader and former minister Jayanarayan Mishra was suspended from the party today for six years for three reasons including the disorderly conduct against the party vice president Sameer Mohanty. The announcement was made by the BJP State president Basant Panda here hours after some party activists attacked Sameer Mohanty, an observer for ZP chairperson election, at the party office in Sambalpur earlier in the day.

In a media briefing, the State BJP president said 11 leaders including Mishra have been suspended from the party for six years for defying the decision of the party leadership, disrespecting the party symbol and humiliating the party State vice president.
