Malkangiri: The Japanese Encephalities (JE) is gradually coming under control even as only one case of death has been reported in last 48 hours while 15 patients have been discharged after being cured in the district headquarters hospitals.

Massive measures have been taken to bring the situation under control. "Fogging Activities have been undertaken and repellent is being sprayed to curb mosquito menace. ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers and other health activists are all active in this regard", Malkangiri District Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy said. Awareness campaign has been carried out in villages, he added.
