Bhubaneswar: Income certificate is not mandatory while submitting the common application form (CAF) said officials of the e-admission department. While registration for Plus II admissions began today across the state, some college authorities had allegedly denied to accept the forms of applicants who did not submit the income certificates.
The head of e-admission department for the junior colleges in Odisha Mihir Das today clarified submission of income certificate is not mandatory for students to be part of the admission process.
Applicants, who do not wish to submit income certificate can select the ‘Others’ option in the CAF, said Das. However, submission of income certificate will help a student to avail the e-scholarship scheme, he added.
“An applicant can collect income certificate from revenue officer within 15 days after CAF submission if he/she failed to produce the same while submitting the application form,” he said.
Students can apply for the Plus II colleges through either online or offline mode till June 7.
One applicant can apply for a maximum of 10 junior colleges in the CAF. For online registration, students can fill up the application form available on www.dheodisha.gov.in . Besides, SAMS Resource Centres opened across the State will help students fill up the admission form and get their queries answered.
As per the School and Mass Education department, the first cut-off list will be declared on June 13. Admission process in the first phase will be over between June 16 and 19.
