Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday has forecast heavy rainfall across Odisha in the next 24 hours.

Normal life has been hit hard after a low-pressure trough stretching across north-east Bay of Bengal triggered heavy rains across Odisha for the second consecutive day.

As per the latest forecast of the Met department, coastal and interior parts of the State are likely to receive maximum rainfall in the next 24 hours.

Several low lying areas in the Twin City of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar have been waterlogged following heavy rainfall yesterday.

It may be mentioned that 11 persons were killed in lightning strikes at different places across Odisha on Friday.
