Illegal sawmill raided & seized, owner absconds

Balasore: A sawmill operating illegally at Markona Bazar under Simulia Police Station in Balasore district was raided and later seized on Thursday.

Acting on a tip off, a joint team of anti-corruption wing and forest ranger under the supervision of Balasore vigilance SP Sunil Kumar raided the place today morning and found the sawmill operating illegally with  huge amount of logs in its premises.

Though the owner of the sawmill fled, a platoon police force has been deployed in the area to avoid eventualities.
