Rourkela: A man today lodged a complaint at Raghunathpalli Police Station in Rourkela alleging his wife of cheating and getting married to another man while he was away from his home.
Such a shocking incident has been reported from Civil Township area of Rourkela.
According to sources, one Mananjay Choubey of Bondamunda area had married a woman from Jagda area in court on September 12, 2016 following a love relationship. Both were staying at Civil Township area after marriage since Choubey’s parents did not approve of their relationship as they belonged to a Bihari Brahmin family.
As per the complaint, even though there was no discord between them, Choubey found that his wife got married to another man while he was away at his ancestral village.
“On January 22, I left her at her father's house since I was leaving for my ancestral village the next day. She also was in touch with me over the next three to four days. But on February 4, when I called her she did not pick her phone. Concerned, I also called her parents but they too did not respond. So when I called from a different number, her mother picked up and said that she was married. After filing an FIR when the police called her parents they too denied knowing me," Choubey said.
