Bhubaneswar: A huge haul of explosives, including hand grenades and tiffin bombs, were recovered in a combing operation near Gandhamardhan hill in Bargarh district on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of DVF and CRPF led by SP B. Jugal Kishore , recovered the huge cache of arms during the crackdown on the Maoist hideout.

The recoveries included hand grenade, tiffin bomb, 8 kg gunpowder, arrows, LED lights, Maoist literature and uniforms.
“We had inputs that Maoists have sneaked into the area after attack on CRPF camp in Chhattisgarh incident, regular combing operation was being done in Bargarh. Huge cache of explosives was recovered during a combing operation yesterday,” said SDPO Laxminarayan Panda.
