Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has decided to set up nodal centres in four Maoist prone districts for the ensuing annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations beginning from February 28.

“Out of 295 nodal centres in the state, we will set up nodal centres in 27 police stations in Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Malkangiri and Koraput districts taking note of the Maoist threat. The question papers from these nodal centres would be despatched to the examination centres and the used answer sheets would be collected from the centre and taken to the nodal centres on the same day of the examination. Apart from this, we will install CCTV cameras in all sensitive centres if necessary,” said Dr Nihar Ranjan Mohanty, Controller of Examinations, BSE, to media persons here today.
