Puri: Hoardings will be set up around the Srimandir to create an awareness about 'photography ban' on the temple premises, said Sri Jagannath Temple administrator Pradip Jena today.
Talking to mediapersons, Jena stated, "Electronic display board will also be put on Puri-Bhubaneswar road to create the awareness."
Recently devotees expressed displeasure after some visitors were found taking selfie on the temple premises and photographs taken in the temple were uploaded on social media.
On December 11, Jugal Kishore Vaishnav, a native of Raipur in Chhattisgarh, had uploaded photos taken in the 12th century shrine on his Facebook post.
Vaishnav had uploaded some photographs he had taken inside the temple. Besides, he had also shared his selfies taken near Mukti Mandap and Navikata Mandap.

In November, photos of repair works of Jagamohan, the hall facing the sanctum sanctorum of the 12th century shrine were posted on social media sparking resentment.
Sadanand Sharma, an official of Miner’s Health and Safety, Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CSIR) had posted the pictures on his Facebook page. Later, he had apologized for posting the pictures.
Similarly, a woman devotee had also posted her selfie believed to have been taken inside the temple in September this year.
