HC directs ASI to complete Jagamohan repair by June 2

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today directed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to complete the repair work of Jagamohan, the hall facing the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Jagannath temple, in Puri by June 2 while fixing April 11 for next hearing on a PIL filed by a Cuttack native more than a year ago.

The court also asked the Puri Collector and ASI to file a fresh affidavit on the Jagamohan repair.

Meanwhile, the NK Mohanty Commission appointed by the High Court to make assessment of the Jagamohan repair work, submitted a progress report in the court mentioning the renovation is going on smoothly.
