Govt official’s half-burnt body found in forest; murder suspected

Jeypore: The half-burnt body of a Cluster Resource Coordinator (CRC) was found in a forest near Dangara village under Borigumma police limits in Koraput district today.

The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Seal of Ambaguda village. The family members of the deceased stated that Sandeep had been missing since yesterday.

As per reports, a bike was lying besides the dead body. Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that some miscreants called him inside the forest and killed him before setting the body on fire.

Receiving information, police rushed to the spot early this morning and started investigation into the incident. The cops will also take the help of a scientific team for the probe, sources added.
