Baripada: Coming down heavily on the BJD-led State government, Odisha in-charge of BJP Arun Singh today said here that the government is knee deep in corruption and people of Mayurbhanj will give a befitting reply to it in next election.
At a press meet in Baripada, Singh said women who are spearheading anti-liquor movement in the district are being trapped in false cases. In such matters, the district administration is spying for the government, he alleged.
"The law and order in Mayurbhanj district has completely broken down. The main accused in a murder case that took place ten days ago is still roaming free,” Singh said.
He further alleged “The BJD-led government had assured the people of providing safe drinking water ten years ago, but the assurance is yet to be fulfilled. Another instance of inefficiency of Naveen Patnaik is the Ayurveda college, which the government had announced to upgrade, but that has already shut down in Baripada.”
There were numerous promises made during the time of elections. How many promises were fulfilled? he asked.
On the other hand, BJD refuted the allegations saying that people are well aware about the pro-people schemes. Hence, we don’t need a certificate from the BJP.
