Dhenkanal: A seventy year-old woman, Chilha Nayak, of Kamakhyanagar area in the district alleged that she has been deprived of government aids.
A resident of Patra Sahi under Kamakhyanagar block, Nayak is suffering from partial vision loss and hearing ailment. She alleged that her family has been neglected by the local administration even as her husband, who used to earn living, is unable to arrange square meals at an older age.
“Our house is in dilapidated condition. We are not able to afford square meals. Though government has implemented a number of schemes for the elderly poor people, we are yet to get any help from the government,” she said.
Meanwhile, local administration assured of proper action after an inquiry. “We will do the needful after an inquiry.Necessary assistance will be provided as per government provisions", Kamakyanagar BDO Pitamabar Samal said.
