Cuttack: A goods train jumped tracks near Sikharpur level crossing here on Sunday.
According to reports, the cement-laden goods train from Jharsuguda was on its way to Cuttack when three wagons jumped the rails. As a result, movement of trains on the up link was affected for long.
The incident occurred at around 11:50 am.
Senior officials of railways have reached the spot and efforts have begun to clear the derailed wagons.
As per railway sources, Accident Relief Train has dispatched from Khurda road for relief work of the derailed wagon.
As the modernisation work is going on at Cuttack Station, the goods train was allowed for experiment. Train services will not be hampered except only 2 or 3 trains will run few minutes delay, added railway sources.
