Puri: A girl filed a complaint against a jawan of third battalion of Orissa State Armed Police (OSAP) Koraput for cheating her on false promise of marriage. According to sources, the girl has registered a complaint at Kumbharpada police station in Puri today.
As per the complaint, the jawan, identified as Ramchandra Swain, a resident of Aska in Ganjam district, had called the girl to Puri to marry her. But he suddenly fled the place after abandoning the girl.

Talking to media persons, the girl said, "We have been in a relationship for last three years. He had called me to Paradise Hotel yesterday for marriage. After a discussion of three hours he left the place on the pretext of receiving a phone call and did not return. I demand justice as he had called me on promise to marry and has now cheated me."
Inspector-In-Charge (IIC) of Kumbharpada police station, Mrutyunjay Swain said, "She is showing a marriage agreement done one and a half years back. The circumstances under which the person is denying to marry the girl will only be clear after investigation."
