GIA for school teachers, staff hiked by 13.36 %

Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, the state government has increased the grant-in-aid assistance for teachers and staff of eligible schools by 13.36 per cent.

The increased amount would be deposited in the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) of the teachers and staff. A formal notification in this regard has already been issued, said School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra here on Friday.

With this, a total of 31,500 teachers and staff of 3,701 schools would be benefited, the Minister added.
