Four critical after group clash

Jajpur: Four persons of a family were left critically injured following a group clash in Khapuriapada village under Jajpur police limits today.

Eyewitnesses informed that the altercation began after a local shopkeeper asked for his pending dues. However, political enmity is the reason behind the attack, said sources.

All the injured were first rushed to the Jajpur Road medical and later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after their condition worsened.

"Four including a woman have been injured and three of them have been shifted to SCB hospital in Cuttack," Priyabrata Panda, a doctor at the Jajpur Road Medical, informed.

Meanwhile, police have reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter.
