Nayagarh: Nayagarh police on Sunday arrested seven persons posing as Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel.
The police has forwarded them to court after seizing a Bolero, seven mobile phones, fake ID cards, SIM cards and Rs 12,000 cash among others.
According to reports, all the seven youths, residents of Rayagada, Nuapada and Kalahandi districts, were roaming suspiciously at a bus stand in the district.
“There are several cases pending against these youths at different police stations,” said Nayagarh police station IIC Narayan Chandra Barik.
These youths use a vehicle having a police number plate and wear CRPF uniforms to pose as genuine paramilitary force personnel, Barik added.
