Bhubaneswar: The Special Vigilance Court today sentenced Himanshu Sekhar Samantray, a retired IAS officer and former managing director of Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation (OLIC), to a three-year jail term and a fine of Rs 20 lakh on the charge of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Samantray will have to undergo an additional 20 month of rigorous imprisonment in case he fails to pay the fine, the court said in its verdict.
