Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: Following a series of protest in Bhubaneswar and other parts of the country, Indian Railways on Thursday relaxed the minimum qualification for its 62,907 vacancies under Group D category by dropping the requirement of an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or equivalent certificate.

A lot of complaints were received from the railway job aspirants, following which the government has decided to relax the eligibility criteria in relation to the educational qualification, said Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.
