Elderly woman killed while resisting robbers in Cuttack

Cuttack: In a shocking incident, a 65-year old woman was killed while resisting robbers at her residence in Bhagatpur area in Cuttack district.

The deceased woman was identified as Haramani Sahu.

According to reports, some unidentified miscreants barged into her house last night and robbed two bikes and ornaments before killing the elderly woman when she protested their move.

The body of the woman was found today from her house with hands and legs tied, police said.

Meanwhile, a scientific team and dog squad have been pressed into the investigation, reports added.

Investigation in the matter is on. However no arrest has been made, they said.
