Dreaded criminal injured in police encounter in Aska

Aska: Notorious criminal Chakanayan Nahak sustained bullet injuries on his leg in a police encounter at Jhagadei area late on Friday night.

According to police sources, a police team attempted to overpower Nahak and his associate when the duo was roaming in the city on a motor cycle.

When the police tried to nab them, Nahak opened fire at the team. In reply, the police fired at Nahak in which he sustained bullet injuries on his leg, police sources said.

However, Nahak's associate managed to escape from the spot during the encounter. A seriously injured Nahak was admitted to Aska hospital, police sources added.
