Bhubaneswar: Many art and culture lovers of the state, eminent artistes and tourists congregated at the foothills of Dhauli to celebrate rich cultural tradition and witness several classical art forms at the 14th Dhauli-Kalinga Mahotsav that got off to a colourful start on Friday.

After a colourful inauguration ceremony on the opening day, instrumental music fusion by Shivagni, Bhubaneswar captivated the music lovers present during the event.

Manipuri Dance by Priti Patel and group and Chhau Martial Arts by Subhashree Mukherjee and group were other attractions on the inaugural evening.

The second evening was equally entertaining with poem recitation by renowned academician and poet Devdas Chhotray.

Besides, Bharatnatyam performance ‘Nadi-The River’ by Leela Samson and group and ‘Mu Buxi’ story depicted through Odisha's traditional martial art 'Mallakhamb'- Paika Sahi Jaatra by Gyana Ranjan Mohanty and troupe were other added attractions.

The 14th Dhauli-Kalinga Mahotsav being organised by State Department of Tourism, Orissa Dance Academy and Art Vision will conclude today with Odissi, Kathak, Kuchipudi and contemporary dance performances lined up for the final evening.
