Bhawanipatna: The Director General of Odisha Police (DGP) KB Singh reviewed anti-Maoist operations at the district police headquarters in Kalahandi today.
Official sources said, Singh held discussions on shortage of force and proposals for upgradation of the police stations particularly in border areas in the district.
IG Operations R.P. Koche, DIG Intelligence Narsingh Bhola, DIG (South Western Range) S. Saini and SOG commandant and other officials attended the review meeting here in the district.
“Today, we reviewed the crime and naxal activities in Kalahandi where couple of incidents have been reported recently. We have detected movement of few naxal groups in the district and nearby areas for which we are framing our strategy, “said Singh.
Singh further informed that naxals are well under control and the process of recruitment to address shortage of police personnel would be completed within six months.
