DGP directs SPs to detain notorious criminals under NSA

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the festive season, DGP RP Sharma today directed the SPs to prepare a list of notorious criminals and detain them under the National Security Act (NSA) to prevent any unpleasant situation.

Besides, the DGP asked police stations to keep a tight vigil on anti-social elements.

“Under the NSA, a drive has been launched to take strong action against criminals,” Sharma said.

The DGP will videoconference with the SPs on September 20 to review the law and order situation.
