Cuttack: The number of deaths due to dengue in the state reached four after one more patient undergoing treatment at SCB medical college and hospital here died of the vector-borne disease on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as JIta Mallick of Padmapur area in Jagatpur.
According to sources, Mallick was admitted to the government-run hospital three days ago after she tested positive for dengue.
She was shifted to ICU when her condition deteriorated. But, she died while undergoing treatment at the ICU, SCB emergency officer Bhubanananda Moharana informed.
