Bolangir: The Municipality office of Bolangir was ransacked by the Councillors of the area today demanding immediate transfer of the Executive Officer.
According to sources, the violence occurred protesting against the work procedures of the Municipality Executive Officer. During the protest, tables, chairs were smashed and the glasses of windows were shattered inside the office. The door curtains were torn and the name plate of the officer was also destroyed.
The Councillors have been protesting against the executive officer Sachidananda Satpathy since the last few days, alleging that he was demanding PC for government works.
Further, the Councillors have informed that they will also present their demand to transfer the officer before the district Collector.
However, the district Collector denied of any appointment with the Councillors.
