Cop injured after bomb hurled at police station

Jajpur: A homeguard of Jenapur police station in Jajpur was injured last evening when a miscreant hurled a bomb on the police station premises.

The injured, identified as Prakash Sahoo was rushed to the Dharmasala Community Health Centre (CHC) and later shifted to the SCB, Cuttack as his condition deteriorated.

Miscreants are suspected to have fled the spot after the bomb attack on the police station.

Though police have launched a probe, reasons behind the bombing could not be ascertained till filing of the report.
