Commissionerate Police raids dance bars in Capital

Bhubaneswar: In a crackdown on illegal dance bars, the Commissionerate Police Saturday night conducted surprise raids on several dance bars in Bhubaneswar allegedly running without a license.

As per reports, keeping a close eye on the illegal activities, police raided as many as eight dance bars in the capital city. During the raids, police rescued four girls from Rangeela Bar near Ashok Nagar here.

DCP Satyabrata Bhoi said the raids were conducted after getting information that they were being run without a license and stated that notices would be issued to all the dance bars flouting norms and guidelines.
